seeks the assistance of the Soil and Water Conservation District,
District staff will provide a design and oversee the contruction
of the pond. The District charges $500.00 to landowners who are
interested in utilizing our services and will recieve a $250.00
refund once the pond is complete. If you are interested in inquiring
about how the District can help you or if you would like more information
on the process of building a pond, Chenango County SWCD pond policy

WORKSHEETS
For individuals applying for a partial reduction
in real property taxes for eligible farmland in New York, a Soil
Group Worksheet (APD-1) must be completed by the Soil and Water
Conservation district. The District's policy for completing Soil

office to ensure that worksheets are filled out accurately and in
accordance with Real Property Tax Law. The Soil and Water District
will provide two copies to the landowner and will retain one copy
for reference purposes. The cost for a worksheet, per parcel, is
($15.00) fifteen dollars. Information on eligibility requirements

STREAM
PERMIT APPLICATIONS
Technical staff from the Soil and Water Conservation
District will assist landowners wishing to apply for a stream disturbance
permit through the United States Army Corps and the NYS Department
of Environmental Conservation. The SWCD will advise the landowner
on what methods are appropriate to implement, will fill out all
the necessary permit applications and send to the appropriate regulatory
agency. If structures are recommended by the Soil and Water District,
landowner should seek further guidance from a licensed engineer
to provide a design and oversee construction. Designs, cross-sections
and any other related material generated by the Soil and Water District
are to be used only application purposes and should not be considered
as a design package. Please refer to the new cooperative
agreement between landowners and the SWCD.
