Welcome to the Chenango County Soil & Water Conservation District

The Chenango County Soil and Water Conservation District is an agency committed to the conservation of the natural resources of Chenango County and New York State.
The Soil and Water Conservation District works primarily with the farming community to assist our agricultural producers with planning, designing, and implementing best management practices to increase soil health and to maintain good water quality of our precious water resources. The Soil and Water Conservation District acts as both an administrator of government funds and as a technical resource for management practices relating to intensive grazing, livestock waste management, riparian buffers, comprehensive nutrient management planning, manure management, field and crop management, wetland construction, and livestock watering systems.
This video was created in cooperation with the Chenango County Soil and Water Conservation District, Chenango County Cornell Cooperative Extension, and the Chenango County Agriculture Development Council.
